Come join us in fulfilling our mission – get involved with Survivors of Suicide Loss, San Diego and discover gifts of heart for you…
It is estimated that for every person who dies by suicide, there are at least six to eight suicide grievers left to cope with the sudden, traumatic death of their loved one. The survivors are often devastated and confused. While I believe this number to be much higher – consider that in 2018 there were 465 completed suicides in San Diego County. That is more than one suicide a day. If each of these people left behind 6 devastated loved ones, then there are over 2,700 people that SOSL needs to help from the year 2018 alone.
We are on a mission to reach these survivors, on a mission to help these survivors. Join us – help us. Help us reduce the stigma associated with suicide and help us in our efforts to save lives by preventing suicide.
There are many ways you can get involved by volunteering with us: Volunteer to find what is a good fit for you!
If you don’t have the time to volunteer, consider giving a donation in honor of your loved one who died by suicide: Donate.
